STINGS HAPPEN

Take the Sting Out of the Bite with These Sting Relief Wipes

SafetecĀ® Sting Relief Foil WipesWarm weather means more time outdoors, sun exposure and of course bugs. If you enjoy gardening or work outdoors such as a landscaper, chances are you will become a magnet for insects and encounter human biting bugs like bees, ticks, black flies, chiggers, gnats, and mosquitoes.

A bug bite or sting from one of these insects can cause severe itchiness, inflammation, and skin discoloration that if untreated, will leave you ready to lose your mind! It can also lead to a secondary skin infection.

Body heat, perspiration, and carbon dioxide in your breath lures stealthy biting creatures where they land and seek a thin-skinned area ideally near to a blood vessel to probe.

Once bitten, the body’s immune system starts to react to the bug’s saliva by releasing a chemical called histamine that activates immune cells to flow freely toward the site of the bite. Histamine is what causes the bug bite to itch, swell, and turn red.

While you may not feel the bite or sting right away, this process often leads to severe itching. When an insect stings or bites a human, it injects venom or other substances that can cause discomfort, swelling, itching, rashes, and other unpleasant symptoms that become more intense with scratching!

SECONDARY INFECTION

Rather than relieving the itching, scratching an already inflamed area increases inflammation, causing the area to itch more.  Moreover, scratching may increase the risk of infection if it, or you, breaks the skin allowing bacteria from the surface of your skin and under your fingernails to get into your body which can invite a bacterial infection.

Itching a bug bite can feel irresistible, but it only offers temporary relief. If you can stop the urge to itch; you can reduce your chance of a secondary infection. If you cannot resist the urge to scratch, then you need to get temporary relief using +Sting Relief Insect Bite Antiseptic and Pain Reliever wipes.

STING RELIEF

Not available in stores, Sting Relief Wipes were created in a America in an  FDA-regulated facility for industrial applications and these wipes are awesome for temporary relief from pain and itching caused by insect stings and bites.

For fast-acting pain relief, these quick drying, pre-moistened Safetec® wipes are formulated with Lidocaine. Lidocaine is a local anesthetic which numbs the area you have applied it. It works by stopping nerves from sending pain signals to your brain. If you can stop the urge to itch, you can reduce your chance of a secondary infection.

Different individuals have diverse levels of response to bug bites based on their unique immune systems, but bug bites can be incredibly irritating especially if the bite is itchy. Before you venture outdoors, be sure to pack a few pre-moistened Sting Relief foil packets with you!
