AN ANTIMICROBIAL, LIQUID-PROOF WORK GLOVE PREVENTS THE CROSS-CONTAMINATION OF MICROBES

The pandemic introduced global changes in the environment and it forced us to modify our approach to everyday life almost overnight. Today we realize that we must now control and mitigate new risks and have learned to overcome many challenges brought on by this global health event.

Unlike typical glove coatings that provide limited and permeable coverage, PIP® decided to extend the coverage to the whole hand. And, they worked to develop an advanced patent-pending barrier coating that passes the tough aspects of the EN 374 standard for permeation and microbe penetration.

ANTIMICROBIAL WORK GLOVES

G-Tek® VR-X™ is not just a coated seamless knit glove with an extended coating. A great deal of technology was expended to meet the tough EN 347 standard while retaining a glove that is tough, flexible, and comfortable while being touchscreen compatible. The coating’s performance is also enhanced with silver ion technology which is known for its long-term antimicrobial properties.

The G-Tek® VR-X™ line currently consists of a general purpose glove (16-VRX380) and an ANSI A3 cut resistant version (33-VRX180) for operators in higher-risk jobs. Many workers have reported that they appreciate the fact that it is a work glove and that it eliminates the need to double glove with disposables.
