There is a new technology available for your foodservice packaging and catering disposables and it’s called Polyactic acid (PLA). PLA is a plastic substrate made from fermented plant starch (usually corn) and it is fast becoming a popular alternative to traditional petroleum based plastics. 

After use, these Vegware™  79-Series 8-ounce double wall cups can be given a new life as compost, since these cups are made with two layers of sustainably-sourced board material and lined with plant-based PLA certified to degrade in a composting facility within 12 weeks! These Hot Cups are and feature a Green Leaf band design so you can showcase your commitment to sustainability and promote your brand.
