Perfect for fire fighters, race car drivers and welders, these flame-resistant PIP® single-layer 100% Nomex® Hoods with 6" single-layer, front and back bib that provide protection for the face, neck, head and upper chest. When exposed to intense heat, Nomex® carbonizes and thickens to increase the protective barrier between the heat source and the skin while remaining supple and flexible until cooled. Nomex® is long lasting and lasts three times onger than most standard fabrics. These flame resistant balaclavas offer limited chemical splash protection along with excellent wear and durability and will not wash out. Fabric meets OSHA requirements for flame resistancend garments provide protection against clothing ignition, sustained flame spread and do not melt or drip.
