PIP® Class 2 Z96 Hi-Viz Breakaway Mesh Vests, 3 Pockets

These ANSI Type R Class 2 and CAN/CSA Z96 X-Back 5-point Breakaway Polyster Mesh Safety Vests from PIP® are ideal for railway and metro workers, construction, municipalities, shipyards, and anywhere hi-visibility apparel is necessary. 

They feature a 2" silver retro-reflective tape, hook and loop closure, 2 external lower flap pockets and 1 upper chest pocket and mic tab. A five point breakaway system allows workers to quickly remove the vest for additional safety around extreme traffic hazards, moving machinery or equipment.

Type R garments provide enhanced visibility for workers who are exposed to highway traffic and working against complex backgrounds durnig daytime and nighttime environments. This includes exposure to vehicles using the highway for purposes of travel, roadway temporary traffic control (TTC) zones or from work vehicles and construction equipment within a roadway temporary traffic control (TTC) zone. The CSA Standard Z96-09 is the standard for HVSA. It provides a standard for the elements that go in to the construction of an HVSA garment, which includes two types of materials: fluorescent background materials for daytime visibility, and retro-reflective tape for nighttime visibility. CSA also provides a standard for the design of the garment, according to the 3 different classes. Vests can be custom imprinted - minimum order is 10 pieces.
